VPNs or virtual private networks come in when you want to browse the web without worrying about privacy or restrictions. They let you access the internet on a secure connection minus the tracking by ads or sites like Facebook.
The only trouble with most VPNs out there is that they offer a very slow connection or are plagued with ads if free. Finding a good VPN isn’t easy.
But now, it seems that Opera web browser has come to the rescue with free (and fast) VPN support.
Native VPN Support in Opera
Opera’s browser is adding VPN support in its latest update. The VPN they are employing is of their own subsidiary, SurfEasy. It uses 256-bit AES encryption and has tracking protection built in.
You can choose a VPN server location at Canada, Germany, Netherlands, Singapore and USA or let the browser choose the best location for you. Having these options is handy since you can switch between locations.
The addition of a VPN to the Opera browser follows the company’s announcement of the feature in April. Back then it was available for developer versions of the browser only. Opera has also released a VPN app on iOS and Android titled “Opera VPN” which is similar.
Opera is confident that it will be fast enough to stream HD (1280 x 720) videos easily. Do bear in mind that it depends on how close you are to the VPN server, your network connection and the video streaming websites.

is the opera browser vpn working in Pak? any reviews yet?
Opera vpn built into ios browser app works perfectly. Vpn for android and ios has been available for few months now. For desktops launched now.
I’ve been using this vpn since it was available free on developer version of opera, it worked without a hitch for me. Vpn was there for regular version of opera as well but wasn’t free. NOW I think they made it free for regular version as well. In opera’s Android vpn app however you don’t have the option to change to the region of your choice.
Now??? No, that’s since very earlier versions, had tried several months ago.
Back then the free option was only in Opera’s developer version… for regular version you had to pay the price(literally).
It’s a very old news.
Working awesomely well.
Its there since the beta…
Old news now. Using from few months – works great.
