Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Minister for Social Welfare, Dr. Hisham Inamullah Khan, has announced free treatment for an autistic child by the name of Ali Abbas in response to a viral video about him on social media.
The development came after the boy’s father had appealed for help in a video.

Dr. Khan paid a visit to Ali, met his father, and inquired about his condition. He then decided to get Ali treated using the provincial government’s funds for social welfare and also promised to provide employment for the father.

He assured Ali’s parents that the government will take all the necessary steps for his treatment, and told them that the provincial Chief Minister, Mahmood Khan, also wanted to meet the child and had given special directives for his treatment.

Dr. Khan said that the provincial government has been cooperating with the Department of Social Welfare for the education of autistic children and that the department will establish an online forum for deprived children with different ailments who are unable to afford treatment so that they may disclose their problems and be helped accordingly.
