Muslims across Pakistan are observing the 20th fast of the holy month of Ramadan 2022 on Friday, 22nd of April, while the holy month will be entering the third Ashra known as Days of Nijat. For convenience, the Sehri and Iftar timings in different cities of Pakistan have been compiled and mentioned below.
The third Ashra of Ramadan is known as safety from Hell where Muslims seek protection from the Hellfire. The third and the last Ashra holds greater importance than the first two Ashras. Lailatul Qadar, a night better than nights of thousand of months, also falls in the last ten days of Ramadan. Allah (SWT) mentions in Surah Al-Qadr, verse 3:
The Night of Glory is better than a thousand months. (97:3)
Ramadan, one of the five pillars of Islam, holds highly spiritual significance and aims to promote the spiritual and material well-being of Muslims. During Ramadan, Muslims work to grow spiritually by praying and reciting the holy Quran, making their actions and thoughts selfless, whilst abstaining from immoral acts. In short, Ramadan is the month of blessing, mercy, and forgiveness, and so must be utilized by every Muslim to increase their taqwa and strengthen their relationship with Allah (SWT).
