Apple introduced its next big flagship phone to the market, an upgrade to the iPhone 13, the iPhone 13 Pro.

The new iPhone 13 Pro houses the latest Apple A15 Bionic chipset based on the 5 nm architecture. This makes this new device ultra-fast. When compared with iPhone 13, the graphic scores of the iPhone 13 Pro are pretty high. The iPhone 13 Pro is equipped with an extra powerful GPU that has five cores instead of four. Hence, the iPhone 13 Pro tops the charts both CPU & GPU wise. This provides the user with reliably smooth performance and possibly the best lag-free gaming experience.

iPhone 13 packs 6 GB of RAM & gives four storage variations to choose from. A 128 GB option, a 256 GB option, a 512 GB & a 1TB option. If storage is an issue for you, you should consider buying the 256GB+ options.

iPhone 13 comes with iOS 15 out of the box. This new device is built around a 6.1 inch Super Retina XDR OLED display protected by a scratch-resistant ceramic shield. The phone offers 1170 x 2532 pixels with a Full HD+ resolution. The iPhone 13 Pro has an adaptive refresh rate. This basically means the device shifts the refresh rate from 10 Hz to 120 Hz according to what’s on the screen. The display panel features a vibrant display with HDR10 & Dolby Vision support. One drawback is that the phone doesn’t come with a 3.5 mm jack and you need to use an Apple lightning adapter to plug in your device. 

The phone packs a 3095 mAh battery with a fast-charging system paired with a wireless charging feature. However, the iPhone 13 Pro like the iPhone 13 doesn’t come with a charger in the box.

In terms of cameras, the iPhone 13 Pro features an elaborate 12 MP main camera that allows a 3X zoom, paired with a 12 Mp ultra-wide camera that comes with autofocus. This allows the cameras to capture professional-grade depth in photos with rich details & accurate colours. In low-light situations, night-mode kicks in automatically with good dynamic range and balanced exposure. In iPhone 13 Pro Apple has introduced a cinematic mode feature on its main & selfie camera. Although the cinematic mode still needs a lot of work, we think that Apple is onto something big here.

The build here is nothing short of premium, with the stainless steel frame & corning glass back. It has the same shape & design as the iPhone 12 except for the smaller notch for face ID & selfie camera. The iPhone 13 Pro offers IP68 radio water and dust resistance, with a waterproof rating of up to 30 minutes in 6 feet of water. 

While it’s not a huge upgrade from Apple’s iPhone 13, the iPhone 13 Pro certainly comes with a more powerful GPU & a higher refresh rate. If you have an older iPhone or are willing to switch to iOS from Android, the Apple iPhone 13 Pro will be a great switch. We wouldn’t recommend switching your phone if you have an iPhone 12.
