Popular ride-hailing service, Careem has introduced its latest line of service – GO Mini – for its users in Lahore, Islamabad and Gujranwala.
The car-booking app has been on the move ever since it entered the Pakistani market, the latest being the introduction of Careen Tezz in Rawalpindi following its huge success in Lahore.
While the app already offers Careem Taxi service, the GO MINI is an almost-similar service offering rides via compact cars (like Suzuki Mehran) only.
Termed as the ‘go-anywhere, do-anything’ kind of ride, the latest addition will definitely be lighter on the customers’ pockets while adding to the already available plethora of ride options. The riders often complain about less number of Careem Taxis available, however, the inclusion of compact cars as GO MINI is expected to wipe out this problem.
After all, vehicles like Mehran are Pakistani favorite. Well, the tagline of ‘Sasti Sawari, Sab Pe Bhaari’, will definitely be the go-to ride for many of us.

You can now book the GO MINI using your Careem app. The service is valid only in the aforementioned cities, however, you might still see it in your app with a ‘No car is available’ message. Worry not, expect the service to be available in more cities soon.
Rates
The rates are expected to identical with Careem Taxi. Careem claims Go Mini rides should be 20% cheaper than regular Go rides. Initial information suggests that the following Base fares will be applicable:
- Lahore: Rs. 70
- Islamabad: Rs. 70
- Gujranwala: Rs. 50
A Go ride that usually costs you Rs. 150-170 will cost Rs. 100-120 with Go Mini.

no particular sources just some ex employees social media comments. also every ride they pay some amount as a subsidy.. Not a very good model for sustainable business for any company. once they start removing these subsidies people won’t prefer them that much considering how much our market depends on such “discounts”. moreover they’re currently dishing out rentals to car rental companies for a majority of drivers.
