  • SALAAM readers….
I was deeply impressed by NOKIA when Nokia “announced” this cell phone…
Then i started checking Local shops frequently, to get the big news :)
    .
Now, the cell is easily available in the market in 12k
    .
My main purpose to buy this WIFI enabled phone is to use it a Voice Messenger and save my spendings on International calls
    .
I was about tot buy this cell phone, but when i checked the specs, it came out to be S40 Phone. Skype, msn, yahoo and google havent yet released apps for Voice Chat for S40 phones…
    .
Since this is a S40 based phone, I have questions regarding this cellphone….
    .
Does this cell phone support the following :-
    1) SKYPE
    2) YAHOO “Voice Chat”
    3) MSN Live “Voice Chat”

    Last but not the Least
    4) Google “Voice Chat”
    .
Jis kisi kay paas bhi authentic information ho, woh plz reply karay……

    • Bhai, yeh phone Java applications support karta hai.Mujhay nahi lagta k koi application hogi is k liye.
BTW aap nimbus use kar saktay ho woh S40 v bhi support karta hai.free application.Usi main sab clients ajatay hain.

    • Few days back I was about to buy this phone, Bcoz I was inspired by its features & price but when I came to know that this is built on S40 platform, I changed my mind & bought E63 instead of this.

I would recommend E63 over C3 Bcoz of the following reasons,

E63 is built on S60 platform and support multi-tasking,
you can install bundle of application available online, and in Nokia Ovi Store.
I hv tried Skype as well, it works fine…

Right now U’ll not be able to install any of the applications u mentioned above in C3, thats sure.

Bro go for any Symbian S60 phone, If u r looking for a good smart phone.

  • Finally, Nokia has realised and launched a model with wifi and other features. Yesterday, I visited the market and here are my comments:
    Pros:
    1. Probably 1st model in Nokia with wifi
    2. Very rightly priced and good affordable price
    3. I like bar phones so its to good to have full keypad in bar phone

    Cons:
    1. C3 looks like a blackberry copy
    2. Though its rightly priced but if you compare it with BB then it does not seem worth buying.
    3. Nokia suppose to lead in all categories but now if they start copying it like this…I have seriuos doubts.

In smart phone category I think BB & Iphone are much ahead by Nokia even samsung and LG are doing good. I am surprised why till now nokia is not realising this. I am sure in a months time they will launch C5 or C3i with 1 or 2 enhanced features just like earlier models. I think nokia should re-think their marketing policy and they should stop fooling the consumers. They have already lost the market share pretty drastically and if they never put a stop to it, they will lose it more.

I hope Nokia will realise soon enough that China will take over their low end, samsung & LG whereas BB, Iphone & Antroid already leading in highend (where the profits are). I wish NOkia best for luck for reviving and survival. (If any nokia team member is reading this kindly take it positively and work for betterment)
