foodpanda.pk, one of Pakistan’s leading mobile and online food delivery services, has launched a delivery system called foodpanda Delivery to strengthen operations across Pakistan.
foodpanda Delivery will integrate operations by working around three tiers: delivery resource hiring, real-time order status tracking and to provide cost effective delivery service for non-delivery restaurants.
According to Talha Ansari, co-Managing Director foodpanda.pk,
It is a move into full-fledged delivery system of our own. We are growing operational team, allowing customer transparency into core function of our business and creating delivery solutions for restaurants unable to do so. It will eventually be much cheaper for everyone to use our delivery system than to try to maintain their own fleet. It’s a win-win situation for all.
To expand its delivery footprint, foodpanda.pk will operate through destination delivery points all over Pakistan. These hubs will operate simultaneously; receiving direct orders and operational strategies from headquarter to assist delivery in assigned locations. To support this process, mass recruitment of delivery riders is being done. Teams will go through extensive training before advancing into real operations.
Ahsan Mateen, Co-Managing Director foodpanda.pk said:
We are in direct competition with some businesses however; we differentiate better by doing more. From transactions to order status tracking, new and existing businesses will require some time coming across this integration.
This marks the first time an online food ordering platform has allowed customers complete control over order delivery status. The delivery rider in transit will easily be navigated using real-time tracker short-link received through SMS alert.
Ahsan Mateen added:
Tracking system is not limited to customers. Our delivery resources will be equipped with smartphones to make use of Google maps in locating destinations around the city. The goal is essentially to get the order delivered to customer in an hour or less by utilizing cost effective 3G/4G mobile technology, real-time delivery management platform and Google-maps.
foodpanda.pk has achieved 100% growth since August, 2014 which places it atop other players in the market. Following post-acquisition events, the online portal fueled up improved operations across the country, reducing delivery complaints by 100%.
foodpanda Delivery is expected to complete beta testing at the end of Q2, 2015. Subsequently, foodpanda.pk looks to improve communication at both ends of business operation as well as customer.

If you have been monitoring business done by both online food forums, eatoye seems to be the kind that was built in haste once foodpanda arrived in Pakistan. It didn’t really have full fledged operations although they claim to be in business long before foodpanda which is obviously false. Food connection never allowed its customers transaction on their platform. Now that they have sold themselves to foodpanda Global, there is no question of how eatoye performs. They never really succeeded in surpassing their competition.

i dont know how people believe and order these (most) of filthy foods. Food quality in Punjab (lahore) is extremely bad (pizza huts, kfcs, big resturants on MM ALAM road, lahore) all are selling dirty stuff with lots of complaints. Sites like Food panda are supporting this ILLEGAL/unethical business. Instead of first working on Food Quality.

It’s not foodpanda or eatoye or urbanite or supermeal supporting these businesses, it’s people like you and me who resort to junk food and have brought this hazardous change in our lifestyles following western culture. It’s always your choice not to order. Why blame these businesses???
