Despite Poor Performances, Amir Takes a Dig at Misbah For Selection Snub

Fast bowler, Mohammad Amir, has been out of the national team for some time as he missed the Zimbabwe series. Pakistan announced a 35-man squad for the tour of New Zealand on Wednesday. Many expected Mohammad Amir to be included, but to their surprise, he was ignored once again.

When asked about his exclusion from the team head coach, Misbah-ul-Haq said that the national team is focusing on integrating young players and players that are available to play in all three formats.

He hasn’t done himself any favors though as his form has been deteriorating over the past year. His performances in the recently concluded National T20 Cup were also far from impressive.

He needs to perform in the upcoming PSL playoffs to get the attention of the selectors and make his comeback to the national side.
