The former leg-spinner, Danish Kaneria, pleaded with the people to support him as his only source of income is from his YouTube channel.
The disgraced leggie was banned from cricket for life in 2013 by the English and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) for his role in match-fixing in county cricket. The ban still holds to this day despite Kaneria apologizing and admitting his role in the incident in 2019.
Kaneria took to Twitter to appeal to the cricket fans in his home country to support him in his time of need.

Kaneria said that he has had no support from either the authorities or the Pakistan cricket fraternity. He said that he requires the support of the Pakistani fans for his YouTube channel to earn money.

Kaneria made his Test debut for Pakistan in 2000 against England. He went onto play 61 Tests for Pakistan in 10 years. He last played for Pakistan in 2010 against England.
He is the fourth-highest wicket-taker for Pakistan in Test history, picking up 261 wickets at an average of 34.79.
Kaneria has had no luck in removing his life-ban from all cricket-related activities despite numerous appeals to the PCB. ECB had also rejected his appeals previously because they believed that Kaneria was not remorseful of his behavior and did not admit his guilt.
