Kamran Ghulam Breaks QeA Trophy’s Biggest Batting Record

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s middle-order batsman, Kamran Ghulam, created history by scoring the most runs in a single edition of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. Ghulam scored yet another century in the final of the 2020-2021 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy and took his tournament tally to 1249 runs.

Ghulam broke a 37-year old record of Saadat Ali, who scored 1217 runs in the 1983-1984 season of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.

Ghulam has been in sublime form this year and has been influential in KP’s run to the final. He has scored 1,249 runs at an average of 62.45, including five centuries and five half-centuries in the tournament.

Ghulam expressed his gratefulness for the opportunity provided by the team management and attributed his performances to the sacrifices made by his family, who supported him throughout his career.

“This season has given me a lot of confidence and now I have more faith in my abilities than before. Having a legend like Abdul Razzaq as a coach has helped me in identifying my strengths and now my aim is to build on them,” he said.
