The Punjab cabinet approved an underground mass transit system for Lahore this Friday, as well as the inclusion of subterranean blue and purple line mass transit projects as a part of the Annual Development Program.
The decision was taken at the sixth cabinet meeting, which was chaired by the Punjab Chief Minister (CM), Chaudhry Parvez Elahi.
The CM declared on the occasion that he did not wish to damage Lahore by introducing an underground railway system. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will help start the Blue Line, Purple Line, and mass transportation projects.
He went on to say that the project will be developed on a build-operate-transfer basis, with no money coming from the Punjab government.
The subway would run from Valencia Town to Kalma Chowk, Liberty Chowk, and Data Darbar, eventually reaching the airport.
Eight major Orange Line railway stations would also be built. The cabinet also authorized the Planning and Development Board and the Transport Department to negotiate technical assistance and finance with the ADB.

all im saying is currently there is practically no reserve in the banks, they’ve halted and effected businesses of all importers and exporters of pakistan (yes I am one of the exporters), and now they’re selling this topi drama which we should have after we jumped into category of first world countries, not one of those countries whose economy is running on american dollar… instead they should be fixing all the issues that we’re facing here…
there’s a reason exporters like us are shifting to dubai very fast because of ill mentality of idiots here.. The issue isn’t about legally or illegally bought watch, I wish if you had completed school. Issue is that these gifts were very much undervalued, procedure of appraisal wasn’t followed, were sold to 3rd parties and not retained, earning from these gifts wasn’t declared in income tax returns. Last but not least, if a person of such a moral standing becomes Premier again it will be a dilemma and therefore must be stopped. Facts must be brought forward for public.
