Pakistan’s baseball team will face its toughest challenge yet in the ongoing Baseball United Arab Classic tournament 2024 against arch-rivals India.Â
Pakistan is undefeated in the tournament after registering dominant wins in their two games. They sit at top of the Group A with a 2-0 record after the first day of the tournament with wins over Bangladesh in their opener before taking down UAE in their second fixture of the opening day.
India, meanwhile, sits second with a win over Afghanistan and a loss against UAE from their two games.
Pakistan will take the field as the favourites for the contest with the considerable gap between the two sides’ standings evidence of their dominance.Â
Pakistan sits on the 36th rung of the world rankings while India occupies 70th. It is the first game of the tournament to be sold out underscoring the pull these two teams have regardless of the sporting field.
