Air Chief Marshal, Mujahid Anwar Khan, flew an “air superiority sortie” in a hi-tech Chinese fighter jet during the ongoing joint Air Exercise, Shaheen IX, Director General Public Relations (DGPR) Air Force informed on Tuesday.
Speaking after the sortie, the Chief of Air Staff commended the Chinese aviation technology. He said,
Chinese military aviation technology is at par with contemporary requirements and has full capacity to meet the challenges of modern warfare.

The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Chief lauded the professionalism of People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) pilots, saying that their air combat skills reflect PLAAF’s modern combat training program.
The Air Chief Marshal was content with the way exercises are being conducted. He remarked that it is heartening to see the two air forces inter-operating across a wide spectrum of airpower employment options.

Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar emphasized that in modern times, the competition revolves not only around technology but also its masterful application in both strategy and tactics. He said,
Shaheen series of exercises will assist in enhancing the professional skills and operational preparedness of both the air forces in addition to developing a mutual understanding of each other’s combat skills and promoting interoperability.
The joint Air Exercise Shaheen IX, which started on December 9 in Pakistan, has now entered its last phase.
