Pak Suzuki Motor Company has unveiled another model to its stable of newly introduced cars in Pakistan – this time with an import model of Suzuki Ciaz that features 1.4L.
Yesterday the company revealed the 1.4L model of Suzuki Ciaz at an event in Lahore.
“We have seen a huge demand from the Suzuki customer base and dealers for a sedan car,” PSMC General Manager Azam Mirza
After the discontinuation of the Suzuki Liana in 2014, the company believed that the time was right to introduce another car in this engine category for Pak Suzuki customers.
A company official also mentioned that the Suzuki Celerio will also be launched in Pakistan under the name Suzuki Cultus, putting an end to weeks of confusion about Cultus-Celerio.
Suzuki has also stated its plans to invest 450 million in the country in the coming years, a move that the company says is subject to the benefits it can get from the new auto policy 2015, if the government chooses to give Pak Suzuki the same incentives as new auto makers coming to Pakistan.
The Suzuki Ciaz model is being imported from Thailand, with the K-series engine variant.
Price of Imported Suzuki Ciaz 1.4 L Variants
- With Automatic transmission: Rs 1.84 million
- With manual transmission: Rs. 1.69 million
The price range and engine size are competitively placed next to the Honda City and Toyota Corolla’s XLI, GLI models from its other rivals.
The company has not commented on how many models it expects to sell in its first year here. However they remain upbeat about their prospects and response from the Pakistani auto consumers.

Please don’t compare Suzuki with Honda/Toyota
City starts at 1.653m
Corolla at 1.659m
Ciaz at 1.69m
Personally I’d go for Toyota or Honda
This vehicle should not cost more then 1.5m maximum. (My opinion you may disagree)
If the Ciaz is locally assembled then it should not cross the 1.35m mark
Agreed. But if you look at the features-to-price ratio, the Ciaz offers a fair deal. The XLI doesn’t come with power windows, airbags, ABS and an immobilizer. The city offers similar features, minus the airbags. Also, the K-series suzuki engine should be on par with the 1300cc CIty in terms of fuel economy.
Don’t forget that the suzuki ciaz’s power-to-weight ratio of 90 bhp/tonne is better than the 1.3 liter city’s and almost equal to the 1.5 liter city’s 91bhp/tonne.
Thus, the engine is also quite powerful, comparative to a 1.5 liter aspire.
is it the K14B?
The ciaz is a CBU imported from thailand.
CBU, hence the price tag, otherwise I agree. Shouldn’t cross 1.5m mark which could have been a huge blow to the sales of City/Corolla XLi (even GLi).
because Suzuki has a bad reputation in the sedan sector, notably after the failures of Liana and Kizashi, I don’t see this succeeding right away until its assembled locally and sold at the aforementioned price tag
Can’t wait for the reviews to come.
If the suspension is good , build quality is on par with city n rolla, this car is the best all-rounder in the less than 2 million region .
This price has got to be a joke …
Suzuki is the biggest chor ever !
Friends Simply think. If you have 1.5 PKR would you buy Suzuki or Toyota. Personally, I will go toward Honda due to mileage and safety/security in terms of theft.
Come to think of it, if Suzuki can installed immobilizer in their car why font Honda and Toyota do it in Pakistan.
In India, Suzuki car even had touch keys on Steering. why is that without that functionality, the price of the car is same.
