Ghandhara Nissan, which has been teasing the launch of its pickup truck in Pakistan, finally pulled the wraps off the new Izuku D-Max 2019.
The widely anticipated launch will be giving tough competition to Toyota’s Hilux and Hilux Revo in the local market. Better yet, Nissan has launched not one but three different variants of this vehicle for the Pakistani market:
- Isuzu D-Max Hi-Spark
- Isuzu D-Max Hi-Lander
- Isuzu D-Max V-Cross
Each of these variants are designed for a particular kind of customer, and it’s pretty obvious that the wide array of choices may end up making Ghandhara Nissan’s market share grow more.
Nissan says that international variants of the truck will come with its new Trailer Sway Control technology, helping it make the most of its 3.5 tonne max trailer weight. The truck’s sensors will automatically detect any sway in trailers, and control the vehicle’s speed so that the trailer can be brought back to control.
The Isuzu D-Max series will be geared towards comfort, safety and stylish changes.

Isuzu D-Max Hi-Spark
This is the base variant of the Isuzu D-Max series. It comes in two trims and with a standard 2.5-liter intercooler turbo engine that can produce 134 hp at 3400 rpm, with 320Nm torque at 1800-2800.
All standard versions of the vehicle will come with LED daytime running lights, remote central locking and power windows. Other neat extras include two 12-volt power outlets, Bluetooth and air conditioning.
As for the interior, it will remain unchanged from the design refresh introduced last year. The car will feature a decidedly modern interior decor, with full leather seats.
According to Nissan, the front seats will have heaters and electric adjustment features. For entertainment, all models will come with 6 speaker audio system with Bluetooth and GPS.
The average fuel economy of these models will be 10.5 km/l according to Nissan.
The Hi-Spark will be available in three colors:
- splash white
- titanium silver
- D-max grey
As for its price(s), the single cabin 4×2 version without a deck retails for Rs 24.25 lac. The one with deck goes for Rs 26.25 lac.
Isuzu D-Max Hi-Lander
This variant has one major difference when compared to the base variant. It comes in two different trims – a 4×4 single cabin and 4×4 double cabin versions.
The D-Max Hi-Lander too comes with a 2.5 liter intercooler turbo engine.
As for the pricing:
- Single cabin version – Rs 37.75 lac
- Double cabin version – Rs 39.75 lac
- The double cabin version also comes in 8 color options – Phantom Brown, Tundra Blue and more.
Isuzu D-Max V-Cross
For its third and final variant Isuzu D-Max V-Cross, the engine has been upgraded to 3.0-liter intercooler turbo one. The performance of the V-Cross also gets a decent boost, with the 3.0 liter variant capable of producing 163 hp at 3200 rpm and 380 Nm torque at 1800-2200.
The D-Max V-Cross only comes in one trim – 4×4 double cabin. However, Ghandara Nissan has differentiated this model from the rest by offering both in automatic and manual transmission modes.
The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross has been priced at:
- Rs 44.50 lacs for manual transmission variant
- Rs 46.75 lacs for automatic variant
How to Book the Truck
Ghandhara Nissan has opened orders for the Isuzu pickup trucks. Interested customers can book their own truck today.
For individual customers, copy of CNIC is needed, and they need to be a part of the Active Tax Filer list. Only one booking per CNIC will be allowed.
For corporate customers, a purchase order along with an NTN certificate and company stamp is needed. Original CNIC is also needed at the time of booking.
Very competitive prices wrt to Hilux. I hope Ghandara Nissan launches some cars for the sub-1000cc market segment as well.

It’s a very good entry. DMAX VCROSS. The comfort and driving pleasure, spacious cabin, head and leg room at front and back is unmatchable. Hilux may look like a big vehicle but comfort and space is seriously compromised. Driving pleasure is also missing in Hilux.
